Sorry, no behind the scenes, about me, or inspirational posts today! But I do feel the need to share just a few things with you. So, which do you want first, the important or exciting? I thought you’d say exciting, so here goes…

Big & Exciting Announcement!

Brand Enthusiast Search (1)

This is something I have been considering for quite some time. I will be looking for people committed to representing The Craft Penguin! These Enthusiasts will be required to purchase a certain number of products within a specified time frame. but will be given a decent discount. In return, I will ask for quality photos of the product in use, which I will be able to freely use on all of my sites (shop, social media, blog). I am in the “working out the details for the search” stage right now, but I do plan to announce a Brand Enthusiast search in the relatively near future! How exciting! 😀  Would you be interested in being a Brand Enthusiast?

Show Dates/Locations/Times:

Event (1)

As of right now, here are the dates and locations you will be able to come meet The Craft Penguin in person! That means my shop will close on these dates for the events. Don’t worry, I will keep you updated!

October 10(A possibility, but I will let you know for sure later today!) Ivy Memorial Baptist Church   2200 Coliseum Dr. Hampton, VA   8 am- 1 pm (A definite now!! 🙂 ) 

November 1– Patrick Henry Mall, Newport News, VA      Noon-6pm

November 14– St. Mark’s United Methodist Church  99 E. Mercury Blvd. Hampton, VA   9 am- 3 pm

Shipping Changes- (Local Pickup Only)

This one only pertains to Local Pickup, so if you aren’t local to Hampton Roads, VA, you can disregard this announcement. 🙂  Recently I have had a few orders from people who just don’t seem to read the shipping options. Unfortunately “Local Pickup (Hampton Roads, VA )” has by default been listed first. And if people don’t pay attention, they don’t select “Standard” shipping when they place their order. Which you could only imagine causes some difficulty. I have tried numerous times to see if there is a way to rearrange what it defaults to and I can’t get it to default to “Standard” shipping unless I completely delete the “Local Pickup” option. So, having said that, to eliminate a bunch of trouble on my end for people trying to not pay shipping, I have deleted the “Local pickup” option. That does not mean those locally have to pay for shipping!

If you are local and want to meet me to get your order, use coupon code: LOCAL at checkout for “Free shipping”. If you are not local, do not use this code. I will not ship your items without you paying for shipping. If I am running another promotion at the time that you want to participate in, please contact me directly and I will work with you to make sure you aren’t charged shipping (or at least that shipping is refunded). I apologize for any inconvenience, but I appreciate your understanding in this matter!
