Handmade Monday- Decal Drama
Back in July (I know, that’s been a while), I came across a post on Decal Drama’s Facebook page for a wall decal. I liked what the decal said, but couldn’t see me using it on a wall. In fact, it was something that I thought would be perfect to put on something to take to the gym with me to help keep me motivated. It says “Sweat is Fat Crying.” So, I left a comment and John quickly responded saying he could probably make it small enough to put on something for me. I decided that the back of my MP3 player would be the best thing to attach one to since it’s something I always carry to the gym. I took measurements for him, and John quickly tried shrinking it down to size for me.
Not only did it work, but he offered me an amazing deal and asked that I take pictures of it for him. Well, I’m here to say, I’ve really been bad about this. Here it is about 7 months later, and I still haven’t sent him pictures (insert facepalm here). And I feel horrible about it!!
Yup. Life and business have seriously gotten in the way, but not once have I forgotten about it. (In fact, I have this stick note widget on the front screen of my phone that I’ve had “Decal pics” written there as a reminder. And it has been there all this time.) I even sent him a few messages off and on reminding him that I hadn’t forgotten! And I must say, he’s been amazing about it! So, not only did I take pictures for him finally, but I decided to surprise him with this Handmade Monday post! 🙂
So, anyways, back to the decal… It wasn’t even a few hours after leaving my comment that Decal Drama sent me a picture of it being shrunk down to size. And it went in the mail the next day. Within a few days, I received not 1 decal, but several of the same. (So, now I need to find something else to attach these to!) 😉
Of course, I couldn’t wait to apply one of these awesome decals to my MP3 player. So, I used the handy directions that were included and put it on! Well, it fit perfectly!! Yes, I know the back of my MP3 player is slightly worn out, but I’ve had it for years!
But that’s not all that was in the envelope. John really went above and beyond. Another decal was included that was a complete surprise. It reads “i am blessed”. This one really touched me. And it took some time for me to decide where I was going to apply it. I finally decided that the back window of my car was the perfect place for it.
And here is a closeup.
So now the real question. What do I think of the decals? I LOVE them! They were super easy to apply. And easy to follow directions are included, so even someone who has never applied a decal before will know what to do. The decal on my MP3 player has proven to do just what I wanted it to- help motivate me at the gym. Whenever I feel like I want to quit, I look at it and think about why I’m there. It helps me to press on and finish my workout.
The “I am blessed” decal has been a daily reminder to me as well. I really am truly blessed. A few months ago, I was involved in a car accident where I was hit in the rear. And the decal was on the window at the time. When I got out and saw the damage, this reminder glared at me. Because not only was I ok for the most part, but the vehicle wasn’t seriously damaged and I was able to drive away from the accident. My trailer hitch took the brunt of the impact.
Decal Drama creates amazing decals for your every need and I highly recommend them! I really just took these pictures over the past 2 days, and they have been applied since the week I received them. They truly hold up well! So, if you are looking for something to spruce up your walls, computer, vehicle, or anything else, contact Decal Drama! Thank you so much for being so patient about getting photos from me! I do apologize for taking forever! You are welcome to use any of the photos in this post. I really wanted to get an in action photo of me with the MP3 player, but I’m in physical therapy from the accident, so I haven’t been able to go to the gym in a while. But when I can go back, I know I have my motivator there to keep me going! Thank you for being so wonderful!
