I have a very important update for you. And I hope you will take a few minutes to read it through to the end.
You may have noticed that I have been a little more quiet than normal on my social media sites lately. And I’ve even posted less here on the blog. A lot of it boils down to my limits on time lately.
I have been under a lot of stress lately for various reasons. First and foremost is something happening in my personal life that I’m not really at liberty to discuss at the moment. It’s nothing too serious, just something that is absorbing a ton of time each week and has me truly frustrated and ready for it to end!
I am also working on taking better care of myself and have gotten back on a gym routine. That in itself uses a bit of time each week. But I know I’ll be better off continuing with it! And this helps some with the daily stress.
But another big thing is the subscription box I am a part of. You have probably seen me mention it a few times both here and on my social media sites. But, I am finding more and more as I make these creations each month for it, that it is consuming most of my time. And I am seriously torn right now because I love all of you, but love being a part of this amazing opportunity!
And as if that weren’t enough, my hand and wrist have started to be in pain more regularly. When that happens, I have to let it rest. So, it’s greatly slowing down production time. This has become the biggest factor in my decisions. My hand needs a long rest right now, and I have to listen to it.
I have come to the realization that I cannot do it all. I am stressing myself out way too much. And because of this have had to make a tough decision. As of now, I am going to limit the number of custom color and complete custom orders I am accepting. That means, if it’s not ready to ship, you will need to contact me first before ordering. You will need to be sure to contact me well in advance of you needing it. I won’t be able to have it out the next day or even the same week like I normally would with any of my custom orders. I must fill my current commitments first.
It is my goal that this will be a temporary situation and I will have all custom options back to normal within a few months and in time for the holidays. But, please understand if I have to extend this longer than I want.
I am doing a lot of thinking and looking to make some tough decisions coming up.
It really breaks my heart to have to cut out custom colors from everyday orders and have a limit for them. As you know, custom orders are my absolute favorite!
If you purchase from my shop here on the website, please pay close attention. I have not changed anything there. So, if it has the “custom color” option and nothing else, please contact me before ordering. If it has another color besides the custom color option, I have it in stock and you are safe to purchase it without contacting me. I have made changes to my Etsy shop, however. The items shown are what is currently available without contacting me first. So, if there’s any confusion about what to contact me for, either go to Etsy, or feel free to reach out to me first.
The best ways to contact me would be to message me through my Facebook page or on Etsy. You can also contact me via email at email@example.com, but keep in mind I am sometimes bad about checking it and forget to for a few days. I try to check my email daily, but with me being so busy right now, I do forget more than I want to. I get notifications from FB and Etsy on my phone, so I tend to check them pretty quickly.
